The OBGYN an essential part of our provider team. The OBGYN provides direct patient care to individuals undergoing treatment cycle. In this role, you’ll participate in all aspects of fertility care including ovarian stimulation, ultrasound monitoring, egg retrievals, and embryo transfers following evidence-based, standardized protocols that ensure safety and consistency. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain advanced, hands-on experience in fertility care under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Specialist.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Conduct initial fertility evaluations and ongoing patient consultations
- Perform and assist in procedures including:
- Transvaginal ultrasound
- Ovarian stimulation and cycle monitoring
- Ultrasound-guided egg retrievals
- Embryo transfers
- Follow clearly defined, evidence-based treatment protocols to optimize ovarian responsiveness with dosing and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with the supervising REI specialist and multidisciplinary fertility care team (nursing, embryology, andrology, and counseling staff).
- Participate in continuous education, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
- Maintain meticulous documentation within electronic medical record system in compliance with clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards.
- Shared call coverage with other OBGYNs and REI. Call consists of one week at a time in house phone coverage after hours (9pm-7am) with weekend clinic coverage for monitoring and procedures as needed.
Training & Supervision
- Existing sites in California may be used to support initial onboarding and training. Training dates will be mutually agreed upon by both parties.
- All fertility procedures and treatment planning will be performed under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified REI specialist.
- Structured mentorship and ongoing feedback will be provided to support skill development in ART and reproductive endocrinology.
- Opportunities to participate in research, protocol development, and clinical outcomes review may be available.
Communication and correspondence
- Completes forms and requisitions in electronic medical record
- Documents all required information in electronic medical record
- Provides patients with accurate information when answering questions and concerns.
- Maintains patient records and protects patient confidentiality.
General
- Remains calm and effective in an emergency or in high pressure situations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members on various ongoing projects.
- Able to manage a flexible work schedule which includes weekends and holidays
Adherence to policies and procedures
- Must continually demonstrate the safety procedures and utilize universal precautions
Physical Demands
- Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when performing daily work.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in Colorado. Eligibility for medical license in California, if necessary.
- Strong interest in fertility medicine and patient-centered reproductive care.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and procedural skills.
