Position Summary:
Phoenix Children’s Urology Division is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) with pediatric expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be board eligible or certified as a Physician Assistant (PAC) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with advanced skills in pediatric care and RN First Assist (RNFA) credentials from an accredited training program. This role will encompass both outpatient pediatric clinic responsibilities and support as an RNFA in urologic surgical cases at our Arrowhead and Main campus locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide highquality, familycentered clinical care to pediatric patients in the outpatient urology clinic.
- Participate in surgical procedures as a First Assistant in urology operating rooms.
- Collaborate with urologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and manage followup care.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with hospital policies and standards of care.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical program development.
Qualifications:
- Required: Graduate level preparation as an NP or PA.
- Preferred: Certified RN First Assistant (RNFA) from an accredited training program.
- Current and unrestricted APRN/PA licensure in Arizona.
- Pediatric clinical experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
